Do you want to celebrate your favorite team but can’t find Women’s Sports Apparel that’s both comfortable and fashionable? Tired of leggings that looks just like everyone else’s leggings? What about some that you can wear to the game and then to dinner?
For many years, the fashion industry has been dominated by designers who thinks women think just like them. Therefore there was no need to go to the source for what women like and want to wear. How many fashion shows have you seen snippets of and wondered what woman in her right mind would wear that stuff! And my husband feels the same way. And because Sports Apparel is not high fashion, how much thought goes into designing? That’s why this story is important.
The Story behind her Women’s Sports Apparel
Embarrassed wearing the clothing they were given to wear when she was an NBA dancer. As female sports fans, she felt they lacked the level of athleticism they possessed or honored them as feminine beings. Therefore, she was determined to do better.
She started out as a ballerina,, turned NBA dancer, turned activewear designer. The uniforms they wore embarrassed her as a professional dancer. There was no acknowledgement of their athletiicism nor of their femininity. She determined to do better for women sports fans. (You can read her story on her site.) .
Born from this conviction, her line of Women’s Sports Apparel was born. Activewear that is comfortable, but sexy. Designed to display the female body in a way that celebrates, doesn’t objectify, the feminine. As she says, “25 years of classical ballet training, gave me a deep understanding of how the female body moves. This informs every detail from the fabric, fit and feel.”
College or Pro, it doesn’t matter. Go to the store and see if you team is represented. Don’t worry if it’s not there today. Plans are in place to expand to more teams as time goes by. Besides that gives you an excuse to visit to see what else is new. Not a bad thing, right?
